Eintracht Braunschweig Appeal Rejected Now Its Bitter Certainty

Eintracht Braunschweig: Appeal Rejected – Now it's Bitter Certainty

Eintracht Braunschweig will play in the 3rd division next season.

The appeal against the deduction of four points has been rejected by the DFB sports court. The decision is final and cannot be appealed.

The club had been deducted four points for fielding an ineligible player.

The player in question, Fabio Kaufmann, had been suspended for a previous match but was allowed to play in a subsequent match. This led to the deduction of points.

The club had argued that the suspension was not properly communicated.

The DFB sports court did not accept this argument, stating that the club was responsible for knowing about the suspension.

The club is now resigned to playing in the 3rd division next season.

The club's sporting director, Peter Vollmann, said that the club "will have to accept the decision and look to the future." The club will now focus on preparing for the upcoming season in the 3rd division.
