Key Findings:

The Breakthrough Agenda Report 2023, the second in an annual series, assesses progress on international collaboration to accelerate the transition to clean energy and sustainable solutions. It examines advances made and actions needed across six sectors: energy, industry, transport, buildings, agriculture, and land use.

The report highlights critical challenges, including the need for improved technical assistance in developing countries and stronger international collaboration to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

To address these challenges, governments representing over half of global GDP have launched a package of collaborative actions. These actions aim to speed up sector transitions, enhance technical assistance, and facilitate the implementation of effective standards in developing countries.
